In 2004 Portland artist Joel Barber and Seattle artist Natalie Oswald painted together for one weekend to exchange ideas and methods through artistic collaboration. No subject or technique was off-limits and the resulting paintings were an explosion of imagery and experimentation. The project proved so enticing that the artists continue to work together while maintaining solo art careers. On view are selected works from six years of collaboration—paintings traded back and forth during marathon painting sessions, a large work painted simultaneously and recent canvases started by one artist and mailed to the other for completion.

Jesse Link started painting when he was stationed in Iraq with the Army during Operation Iraqi Freedom. That was in 2005 and he has been painting ever since. Jesse is a self taught artist with over 200 completed works that considers himself a Seattle artist since much of his inspiration comes from the beautiful North West.

Learn how folks in the international coffee community taste and evaluate their coffees, and we'll show you how it goes down, Victrola-style: sniffing, slurping, and having a good time. What better way to spend a late Wednesday morning? Our only request: please let coffee be the only fragrance at the table.

The Roastery & Cafe is a remodeled vintage auto body shop on East Pike Street in the First Hill Neighborhood. It's airy & open with plenty of sky lights, perfect for watching the evening stars. We would love to share this space with you by accommodating your next soiree!

Espresso, French Press Coffee, Pastries, Desserts, Beer & Wine are available upon request. Prices are determined by number of attendees, length of the affair, and any extra items needed.
