"Whoop-Dee-Doo" - new and recent works by Erik Andrew

Andrew’s dedication to his own vision has yielded a significant body of visual art. The people and even the objects that populate Andrew's paintings and drawings convey with remarkable skill both the humor and the absurdity of the human condition. Figures are exaggerated, bodies and expressions are distorted in ways that manage to simultaneously disturb and amuse. . But Andrew's figurative work showcases a more contemplative mood as well; this work situates calmer versions of the human form in quieter settings, making visual statements with tranquility and grace.

Best known for his surrealistic cityscapes and provocative portraits, plein-air oil painter Ethan Jack Harrington's newest collection highlights the artists' recent travels as well as artwork created on the streets of Seattle and in the comfort of his home studio. Discover Harrington's Asia Collection 2008, which features vibrant work painted from the streets of Thailand, Laos and Viet Nam; explore Seattle's backyard through surrealistic paintings of Port Townsend and Eastern Washington; and enjoy elegant yet whimsical canvases of color and creativity, including Seattle street scenes and quirky still lifes.

A well-known and respected Seattle artist, Ethan Jack "EJAK" Harrington has been an artist his entire life and has painted professionally for nearly 15 years. His intensely unique style and coveted skill has developed into what is now an easily recognizable trademark among Harrington's collectors.
